Forgotten Promises

One issue that no candidate or party has seriously promised to address or even talked about is what is going to be done about fulfilling wishlists like the one above and the coming through on the promises that were made following the devastation on the gulf coast. The Gulf Coast continues to struggle in its recovery efforts and no candidate has chosen to make this neglected region a top priority.
When leaders of other countries join together and believe that we are ignoring the rights of our own people it’s time to take a look in the mirror. The supposed pillar of Democracy; the richest and most powerful country in the world can’t even keep a Human Rights investigation from occurring within its borders.
Most people believe that family comes first. As a single, unified nation our citizens should come first. In a second our politicians will divert funds away from everything from Social Security to Education to pay for a war but we can’t find it important enough to divert funds, resources, and man-power from our own military and other fat government programs to emphasize the effort. As a nation, as a family of citizens, the first priority should be its citizens.
- Forgive back taxes for victims
- Force insurance companies to pay
- Ensure that land-owners keep their land
- build world-class levees
Where there’s a will there’s a way.
